Loyalty Card Wallet Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

Loyalty Card Wallet has no account, no server and no analytics. Everything you put into it — card names, card numbers, notes — is stored only on your own device. It is never uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to.

What the app stores, and where

All of the following is kept in the app's own private storage on your device, which no other app can read. None of it is transmitted.

DataWhy
Card name, card/barcode number, cardholder name, member tier, expiry, notes, points, colour and texture To display your cards and render a scannable barcode
Favourites, last-used time, use count To sort the cards you use most to the top
Language, sound, view mode, purchase flag To remember your settings between sessions
A photograph of a card, if you take one To show which card an entry belongs to — useful for a card with no printed barcode

Camera

The camera is used when you open the scanner, to read a barcode, and when you choose to photograph a card. Scanned frames are decoded on your device and never kept. A photograph you take is saved in the app's own storage, which no other app can read, and is never sent anywhere. The app asks for camera permission at the moment you first use the scanner, and works without it — you can always type a card number in instead.

Network

The app uses the network for one purpose only: talking to Google Play about the purchase described below. Nothing else in it makes a network request.

There is no server of ours anywhere. No analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no crash reporting, no third-party content. Your cards, their numbers, your notes and any photograph you take are never uploaded — not to us, because there is nothing to upload them to, and not to Google, which is told only whether this account has bought the unlock.

The barcode reader is built into the app rather than downloaded, so scanning works with no connection at all — on a plane, or in a supermarket basement. Everything except buying the full version works offline.

Purchases

The purchase or subscription that unlocks unlimited cards is processed by Google Play. Payment happens entirely inside Google's billing flow — the app never sees or handles your card details, name or address. It asks Google Play only one thing: whether this Google account has bought the product, so the purchase can be restored on a new device.

Google's handling of that transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Sharing

Nothing is shared with anyone. No data is sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties, because no data is collected in the first place. Exporting a backup writes a JSON file to your device when you ask it to; where that file goes afterwards is up to you.

Your control over the data

Because the data never leaves your device, there is no copy anywhere for us to hand over, correct or delete on your behalf.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date above changes with it. Any change that affects what leaves your device would be described here plainly.
